Dr. Md Rashed Chowdhury

Applications Scientist - Water, Climate, and Society

I’m a climate scientist with more than 25 years of experience working at the intersection of water, climate, and societal issues. My focus is on creating seasonal climate tools to help communities understand and prepare for the impacts of the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) events. I’m passionate about supporting decision-makers in vulnerable regions around the world, including Bangladesh, the U.S.-Affiliated Pacific Islands, the Maldives, and countries across the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna (GBM) basin, so they can better navigate the challenges posed by climate variability.
